Lime Designs - Site Rules
Firstly, we want to welcome you to the website & Forum! Anyways, this thread is meant to inform you about what Lime Designs permits, and forbids on it's website. You, as the member, are required to adhere to the following rules, terms, conditions, restrictions, and guidelines set forth below. Failure to do so will result in consequences determined by staff.
1. Registering on LD
1.1 Users are permitted ONE (1) account for use on this board. To change your name, you can purchase one for Forum points. If it's urgent, then contact an administrator. This means only ONE account per person, or per I.P. address. If you are found using duplicate accounts, the account with the least amount of posts will be terminated, and your other account will be warned. If you have other people who log in from your IP address, please contact an Administrator PRIOR to registering the second account being registered.
1.2 Any accounts created to improve your own account (I.E Voting for yourself multiple times in SOTW, or other contests, giving yourself FORUM POINTS, etc.) will result in a suspension, determined by staff, of your MAIN account.
1.3 Users may NOT impersonate another, or present themselves as a Masterworks member, even when they know they aren't. This refers to your username, signature, avatar, and any other content you post.
+If you were a previous MW member, but were pruned, you are required to re-apply, like every other member has to.
2. General Posting Rules
2.0 No "Racial/Beliefs" Discussion - No topics or posts that may prove disrespectful to religion, belief or race.
2.1 No "Spamming" - Please do post SPAM messages (known as "Short Annoying Pointless Messages") in any of the forums. Posts must be over four words, and relate to the topic, and be meaningful. Short posts in the Introduction section is fine, but must not be abused. Users who are found spamming will receive a warning. This also refers to swear words, so please refrain as much as you can.
2.2 No "Flaming" - Do not insult, harass, belittle, threaten, or otherwise flame another user, and especially staff members. There are to be no flame wars, whatsoever. Keep in mind that message boards, and the Internet are where people of different cultures, beliefs, etc. come to meet, so not everyone will agree with your own point of view/status on topics. If you are experiencing trouble with another user, please work it through Private Message, or MSN/AIM/YIM/ICQ. If you see users flaming each other, don't involve yourself, but use the "Report Post" feature so staff can attend to the issue.
2.3 No "Self-Advertisement" - Please do not post your website, forum, service, etc. on these forums. PayPal links, and scams are prohibited. If you wish to affiliate with LD, please click the link on the Index that allows you to do so. You are permitted to link users to other websites in your signature, but must not be over sized. PM advertising is never permitted, and users will be warned for this, as well.
2.4 No "Ripping" - DO NOT, under any circumstances, RIP any image, signature, etc. from another user of these forums. This is taken very seriously, and can result in a suspension, or ban. DO not post or use images from DeviantArt, unless you can prove written permission from the author. Heavily copyrighted images/works are not permitted for use, either.
2.5 No "Piracy" - illegal/pirated software, known as "warez", are not allowed, endorsed, or otherwise permitted to be discussed about on the forums, or through Private Message. Questionable material will ultimately be decided by staff, so post wisely. Users caught distributing, discussing, etc. about these types of programs, on the forum, will be suspended, for a predetermined length by staff. Multiple times will result in a permanent BAN.
2.6 No "Porn" - Discussion about adult/mature oriented images, videos, websites, or links are strictly forbidden, and not permitted, whatsoever. Remember that users of all ages log onto this site everyday. Any user who posts links to direct PORN websites, child porn, etc. will receive a Permanent ban, no warning or questions asked. Your warning is right here, DON'T DO IT!
3. SIGNATURE & AVATARS:
Having multiple and LARGE images within your signature add more strain to the server, causing LAG, and other undesired effects. This also decreases the rate at which others can load the pages, therefore lessening the enjoyment factor of the forums. We ask that you try to adhere to the following signature & avatar guidelines.
3.1 Signatures must not have over TWO (2) tags, sized at 400 X 125 PIXELS each within it. You may include a link to a website that you Administer or own, (A small graphic may be used instead of a link as well.)
3.2 Signatures and Avatars MAY NOT CONTAIN offensive material or language.
3.3 They must also adhere to the rules explained above. Ultimately, staff will decide if something is offensive, and the user will be PM'ed to remove it. Failure to remove it will result in staff manually removing it from your account, and then issuing a warning to the uncooperative user.
3.4 AVATARS: Avatars may not be larger then 120 by 120 pixels, and must not be offensive. or pornographic. Staff will ultimately decide inappropriate content, and users will be issued infractions/warnings if this restriction is not adhered too.
4. Private Messaging
4.1 Users are allowed to contact with each other through Private Messaging, which is provided by the Forum, for each member. However, LD Administrators reserve the right to disable the function/service to those who choose to abuse it.
4.2 It is PROHIBITED to send porn, spam, shock websites (I.E video's/images meant tto scare people unknowingly), member leeching invitations to other websites, and anything else that violates these rules. Don't bribe members on here to put you as the referred member on another website/forum.
5. Shoutbox
Please be advised that all rules explained and outlined above still retain in the SHOUTBOX as well.
5.1 USAGE - Users are permitted to use the SHOUTBOX as an additional feature to posting. Do not come on here JUST to use the shoutbox, or post consecutive messages multiple times (this is spamming). Do not overuse or "whore" the shoutbox up with your comments.
5.2 Do not post images in the shoutbox, as this creates LAG, and other undesired effects. You may post links to images, video's, and threads, as long as they aren't considered offensive. Users will be warned if they break any rules while in the shoutbox.
6. Overview
While these rules should cover most situations and/or scenarios, they cannot vouch for eveything. Consequently, we reserve the right to perform any action necessary to secure the wellbeing of the Forum.
